Striato Olimpico
is an interesting marble largely from an island in Turkey and it is also found in other coastal regions along the Mediterranean Sea such as Greece and Italy. This marble has very simple colors such as black, grey and white and is recognized for its parallel horizontal lines. Therefore, it is also known as Equator marble for its lines and Zebra marble for its colors. This marble doesn’t vary much except the thickness of each line. The regularity of Striato Olimpico’s horizontal lines on each slab determine the quality and price.
